Hurray! Hurrah! Hurray! Another Blog Give-Away!

Hurray! Hurrah! Hurray! Its Almost Christmas Day!
We had so much fun with the last give away that we are having another one! Are you jumping with glee yet? It is the giving-season after all, right? I want to hear from you! What is your favorite crafting or decorating tradition in your family at Christmas?

One of my favorite things to do is bake Gingerbread. So in the tradition of baking Gingerbread, I am giving away a Gingerberry Companion Apron Pattern from The Patchwork Heart Co.! What exciting news and such a sweet treat!

But that is not all, here is the really fun part: you will also win this months edition of the GHC's downloadable Tea Cozy Club which features an audio talk I did with Jill called the "Gingerbread Cottage of Faith". This talk is about preparing the hearts of our daughters by helping them to build their faith. I pray that it will bless you!

Here is what you do, it is so easy: comment on my blog about your favorite tradition or craft, then tell a friend and have them comment on my blog, just send them this link:www.thepatchworkheartcomblogspot.com and finally, go to Jill's site, Remembrance Press, and leave a comment there, as well.

Easy as one- two- three! I will then collect all the names and draw one lucky winner, on Friday Dec.18th, just in time for Christmas! So share the joy and tell your friends.

**Please make sure if you don't have a blog to leave an email, so that if you win, I am able to contact you. You may email me directly with this info just go to my blog profile page or from my website under contact.

This is so sweet and it reminds me of all the wonderful crafts my mom always made around Christmas. That is my favorite Christmas tradition, sewing, making, baking and delivering all of that to our friends.

Thank you for your encouragement always!

Blessings,
DeAnna Lovette

I love the gingerbread apron idea!

My favorite Christmas tradition is what we always did right before opening gifts, we ready the Christmas story from Luke. It really kept Christ at the front of our thoughts and hearts.

Please enter me in the drawing.

A favorite Christmas tradition for me is stuffing stockings a week before Christmas. Then the kids open one gift each day that week. My mom started this tradition with us and now we do it with our children.

Right now my children are all very little, but it has been our tradition to make our own ornaments for the tree so our favorite Christmas craft has been salt dough manger scene ornaments! T
Thank-you for your sweet encouraging words!

What a great gift a way!! My favorite crafts to make are those that represent long ago. My Mom and I have started a tradition of going to a near by living history museum and making a bunch of crafts. I have a post on my blog about it. It just reminds me of times that were so simple. I strive to create that. I LOVE everything gingerbread also!!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is doing a “Jesse Tree” with my kids. Starting at the beginning of the month we read through the Bible (one story or character per day) leading up to the birth of Christ, adding one ornament representing that story/character. It’s a wonderful way to see how the events in the Old Testament point to the birth of Christ.

What a wonderful giveaway!!

A favorite Christmas tradition is getting to open one gift the night of Christmas Eve, and then - early Christmas morning - to go jump on Dad and Mother's bed (with my 5 siblings! :) and say "Merry Christmas!!"! :)

Also, I'm letting my 54 followers on my blog know about this wonderful giveaway! And I entered Jill's (at Remembrance Press).

Our family tradition is to go to our friends Christmas tree farm, and let the kids pick their favorite tree. My husband then cuts the tree, and the kids cheer for him to "make the peacock". He laughs, and throws the tree over his shoulder with the trunk of the tree facing us from behind and he then looks like a "peacock" from the rear. The kids take pictures, and laugh till no end! Silly, but fun...

In the early 1990's I spent some time with a family living in Sweden during Christmas time. I always try to build a ginger bread house for Chistmas which we eat on the feast of the Epiphany when the Kings come and Christmas is over.

We have started a tradition of hanging our "Adornaments" from Family Life on our Christmas tree on Christmas eve. We each take turns picking one and then reading the little introduction and then the scripture and hanging the adornament on the tree. It helps us to focus on the Savior.
Merry Christmas -

We put a small tree in a niche in our home. Each year a different family member gets to decorate it with our special victorian style ornaments and bulbs, and nobody changes it. It's a special chance for that child, and the rest o fthe family enjoys seeing the results of that person's creativity. Then we set up a nativity beneath it. Very lovely.

I think this apron is lovely. I am doing some baking with my daughter, and trying to teach her to cook different things.
