Love Squared

182 artists and 180 squares later isn't this something! Her name is Loved Squared, she stands 40 in. tall. She is the workmanship of several artists, 182 actually, and doll artists Monica Magness.

What a face! What a crown! The artist who designed the crown also made the crown to be worn as a bracelet cuff. Very clever don't you think!

A while back I blogged about this wonderful project I had the privilege to be involved in. I submitted a 2 in. x 2 in. art square to be sewed onto a doll. This doll was going to be submitted to the Somerset Doll Quarterly Publication and then put up on eBay for auction. The proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research. This is the result of artist working together on a common goal, collaborating, encouraging, praying, teaching, and sharing. What a fulfilling way to spend my time! I hope that you will visit the Pink Project portion of Monica Magness' blog and you can get the full story and see all her progress. You can get there by clicking on the Pink Project link at the right. Anyway, I wanted to show you all the small part in which I played. This is my submission If you would like to know the symbolism behind my square click here.

My square went for this to....This!

To this...

And finally to this... Isn't she wonderful!

I can't wait to see how the Lord will use this project to bless someone with love and hope. I hope that you will join me in praying that this project will ripple outward and touch many lives with the light of hope. That the auction will be a success and that what is donated will support the continued efforts to find the cure.

She is stunning Heather - and even more so knowing the story behind her creation. I truly love hearing about projects like these where artists join together for such a worthy cause and give a little piece of themselves. Just beautiful....
